Training Assistance
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) allows for a collaborative approach between partners, business, industry, education, state, and local governments. This collaborative approach helps to strategically manage resources and achieve program performance, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
The WIOA Dislocated Worker program provides services to those who have been affected by employer closures, reduction in workforce, and catastrophic events that lead to employment cutbacks. The objective is to provide workers with the tools and resources needed for employment in West Virginia’s high demand and growing industries. Through this approach West Virginia can enhance the quality, productivity, and competitiveness of its workforce to meet the needs of West Virginia employers.
