WorkForce West Virginia announces September 4 Statewide Virtual Job Fair

CHARLESTON, W.Va. —  WorkForce West Virginia today announced the next date in a series of Statewide Virtual Job Fairs. Both employers and job seekers are invited to participate in the virtual event on Wednesday, September 4, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

“We invite West Virginia job seekers and employers to empower your future with our Statewide Virtual Job Fairs,”  said Scott Adkins, Acting Commissioner of WorkForce West Virginia. “Through this convenient online platform, employers and job seekers can come together to create success stories.”

Registration is required for both interested employers and job seekers. Register as a job seeker for the September 4 Statewide Virtual Job Fair.

“The monthly virtual job fairs by WorkForce West Virginia are a game-changer for job seekers, providing a highly effective platform to explore diverse job opportunities without geographic limitations,” said James Bailey, Secretary of the WV Department of Commerce. “Since these monthly events launched in October of 2022, more than 16,600 job seekers have used this platform to connect with the more than 14,600 jobs that have been posted right here in the Mountain State.”

When attending the event, job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and have a calm, clutter-free background. The Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal features a Job Seeker Training video, a list of participating employers, and channels for attendees to register and log in.

After registering for the first time, new employers will create a “Virtual Booth” to connect with job seekers. After completion, this booth will be available during subsequent job fairs. Register as an employer for the September 4 event.
