WorkForce West Virginia announces July 3 Statewide Virtual Job Fair

CHARLESTON, W.Va. —  WorkForce West Virginia announced the next date in a series of Statewide Virtual Job Fairs today. Both employers and job seekers are invited to participate in the virtual event on Wednesday, July 3, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

“We invite all West Virginia job seekers and employers to register now for our free Statewide Virtual Job Fair on July 3,” said Scott Adkins, Acting Commissioner of WorkForce West Virginia. “These online job fairs provide job seekers here in the Mountain State an opportunity to connect with employers, learn more about available opportunities and take the next step in their careers. Whether you’re looking for seasonal employment, a recent graduate ready to start your career or ready for a complete career change, you can find your next step here.”

Registration is required for both interested employers and job seekers. Register as a job seeker for the July 3 Statewide Virtual Job Fair.

“WorkForce West Virginia’s Statewide Virtual Job Fairs continue to see monumental success in pairing West Virginia employers with qualified job seekers,” said James Bailey, Secretary of the WV Department of Commerce. “The June 2024 event saw a record 1,145 job seekers register to connect with more than 100 employers from various industries across the state.”

When attending the event, job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and have a calm, clutter-free background. The Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal features a Job Seeker Training video, a list of participating employers, and channels for attendees to register and log in.

After registering for the first time, new employers will create a “Virtual Booth” to connect with job seekers. After completion, this booth will be available during subsequent job fairs. Click here to register as an employer for the July 3 event.
