WorkForce West Virginia announces August 7 Statewide Virtual Job Fair

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — WorkForce West Virginia today announced the next date in a series of Statewide Virtual Job Fairs. Both employers and job seekers are invited to participate in the virtual event on Wednesday, August 7, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

“We invite West Virginia employers and job seekers to join us at the August 7 Statewide Virtual Job Fair,”  said Scott Adkins, Acting Commissioner of WorkForce West Virginia. “Employers can find their ideal candidates while job seekers can discover their dream job—all from the comfort of a phone or laptop.”

Registration is required for both interested employers and job seekers. Register as a job seeker for the August 7 Statewide Virtual Job Fair.

“The Statewide Virtual Job Fairs are a testament to WorkForce West Virginia’s commitment to innovation, offering job seekers a practical and effective method to advance their careers from anywhere with an internet connection,” said James Bailey, Secretary of the WV Department of Commerce. “In July, the event saw a record 1,153 registered job seekers and an impressive 113 registered employers. Since these monthly events launched in October of 2022, more than 15,000 job seekers have used this platform to connect with employment opportunities right here in the Mountain State.”

When attending the event, job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and have a calm, clutter-free background. The Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal features a Job Seeker Training video, a list of participating employers, and channels for attendees to register and log in.

After registering for the first time, new employers will create a “Virtual Booth” to connect with job seekers. After completion, this booth will be available during subsequent job fairs. Click here to register as an employer for the August 7 event.
