WorkForce West Virginia and Secretary of State’s Office Unveil Updates to WV One Stop Business Portal

CHARLESTON, W.Va. â€” WorkForce West Virginia, in partnership with the WV Secretary of State’s Office, recently rolled out a significant update to the WV One Stop Business Portal, making it easier and more efficient for employers to access employer contribution filing information. Through the updated WorkForce West Virginia tab on the WV One Stop Business Portal, employers can more easily access key resources in one convenient location at business4.wv.gov.

Theupdated WorkForce WV feature in the WV One Stop Business Portal includes several improvements and enhancements, most notably a “My Linked WorkForce Accounts” feature, direct access to crucial online employer resources and information, and direct access to employer account functions such as managing employer account information, filing contribution/wage reports, and making delinquent payments. The improved tab also includes a message section where the agency can quickly and easily disseminate important notices or messages from the filing office.

“This is an excellent example of West Virginia agencies working together to improve processes and outcomes for employers across the Mountain State,” said James Bailey, Secretary of the WV Department of Commerce. “This partnership showcases how the innovative integration of resources benefits business owners and employers around the state.”

Regarding the multi-agency collaboration, Secretary of State Mac Warner said, “This addition to the WV One Stop Business Portal will now allow businesses the capability to complete their business with the Secretary of State, WorkForce West Virginia and have the information integrated with the WV Tax Department all in one location. Integration of multi-agency services is one step to minimize the amount of time and effort necessary to register, allowing our businesses to focus on their goal of creating jobs and a strong economy in West Virginia.”

The new “My Linked WorkForce Account” feature allows employers to create a personalized dashboard for their business or multiple businesses. It presents a snapshot with important employer account details such as the filing due dates, filing status, rate notice, the amount due, and details on completed filings. Previously, filing and rate information was mailed once per year for each business, and there was no easy way to access this information at a glance.

“The recent updates to the WV One Stop Business Portal continue to improve access to West Virginia employers to the critical resources available through WorkForce West Virginia,” said Scott Adkins, Acting Commissioner of WorkForce West Virginia. “We want to continue to reduce barriers for employers and provide information in one convenient location.”

Toaccess the new features, employers can go to business4.wv.gov, create an account, or log in with an existing account and select the WorkForce WV tab.

The WV One Stop Business Portal results from a multi-agency collaboration between the West Virginia Secretary of State, WorkForce West Virginia, and the West Virginia State Tax Department. For more information about the WV One Stop Business Portal, visit business4.wv.gov.
